[ Sooyoung's grip on Ditto and Kyu-chan aren't as hard, so if they choose to, they can break free at any moment. She continues to venture on despite feeling something on her ankle. She figures the feeling would disappear and there would be no use stomping on it or whatever.
She chooses to cautiously follow where the dark smoke was seen, trying to find a door that leads to the room where the smoke had vanished into. She thinks it could be a pokemon, so her knife and gun would be useless here from what she's seen. ]
[ Despite that Kyu-chan said that he could speak with another ghost-type on their behalf, he's... kind of a scaredy-cat. He instantly starts shaking when he sees the mist and decides to stay put in Sooyoung's arms; it's a safe and warm place... ]
[ The smoke went through a wall in between two doors. Left or right. Which one do you choose? ]
[ Ditto is also cautious, ready to jump out to defend Sooyoung and Kyu-chan at any given moment, but wraps itself around Kyu-chan in an attempt to comfort him.
[ There's a sink, a mop and its bucket, some cleaning supplies lined up against a shelf, and questionable mold on the ceiling. There doesn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary. Does she investigate or leave? ]
[ The ghostie is hidden on one of the higher shelves, tucked behind some bottles. What Pokemon is that? It's... a Gastly! Wow, what a surprise. It doesn't appear to be aware that Ditto is now about to see it as it just snickers away. Hehehehe, come closer, Sooyoung. Come into the closet. ]
[ She breathes out and looks in another direction and quietly mutters: ]
Give it a taste of its own medicine.
[ Ditto nods, melts away from Sooyoung's hold, grabs a pokeball on the way, transforms into a Gastly and attempts to rush at it to lick it to paralysis.
[ Oh no, a surprise attack! The Gastly is taken back and Ditto is able to get in a sucker lick in. It lets out a wail, similarly to how a frustrated child cries when their plans are foiled, and it knocks over the cleaning supplies off the shelf in its frantic attempt to escape. It's paralyzed but it tries to push through; literally as it phases through the wall and goes in the direction of the other door. ]
[ Oh shit. Oh fuck. Sooyoung doesn't care for orderly things, but she tries to catch the falling supplies before they make a racket, to put them down quietly after. ]
Abort mission--
[ Ditto the Gastly trails after Sooyoung, returning to her arms and returning the pokeball in her pocket. She runs towards the direction of the scream. If it's in a room, she'll attempt to open the door. Sorry for the wild ride, Kyu-chan, but at least Sooyoung is keeping you safe. ]
[ Kyu-chan is getting dizzy from all this hectic disaster so he's glad that he's being carried. This wild ride now leads into a patient's room, where Niko is staying. Her eyes dart between Sooyoung and the Gastly who is paralyzed on the ground, unable to move, even when there's an angry Rockruff barking at it. ]
I-- I-- It's a ghost!!
[ The ghost of a baseball!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! ]
[ Telling her that things will be okay does not help at all, but once Sooyoung captures the Gastly, that calms her down. The Rockruff also stops barking. ]
[ Sooyoung sighs and then picks up the pokeball, releasing the Gastly in order to interrogate it, but it looks like it won't be cooperative. She puts it back in the pokeball and turns to Niko. ]
Yeah. Did you see anything weird around here? Aside from that thing just now. I heard there were balloons and crows being bad signs, but...
[ She thinks the Murkrows gathering around just sounds like a black cat superstition. ]
[ At the mention of the crows, Niko immediately looks downcasted. Her hands clutch the blankets and tighten. Hachiko goes on over to her bed, jumping up and curling up beside her. ]
I... I don't know about the balloons, but... I sometimes see the-- the crows...
[ She starts to get more uncomfortable, shifting while sitting her in bed. Hachiko nuzzles his head against her in an attempt to make her feel better. It helps, by just a bit. ]
They, um, they... peck at my window and c-call out for me--
[ Thinking more and more about them, the Rockruff's comfort is completely negated by her increasing levels of distress. She begins to cry and her hands ball up by her eyes. ]
[ God. Okay. She doesn't know how to comfort people--well, she does know how, but she utterly sucks at it and she knows it. That's why Ditto goes over to Niko, transforming into a small walking teddy bear and hugs her. It's okay, it's okay...
Meanwhile, Sooyoung thinks. The Murkrows call out to her? She'd pin that on them being hungry and wanting to be let inside as most animals tend to do, so she waits for Niko to calm down. She also looks down at Kyu-chan in her hold. Got any ideas, buddy? ]
[ It'll take a tag or two for Niko to calm down, especially if Sooyoung asks her something. She'll then try to choke down her tears to talk, but in the meanwhile, Kyu-chan looks up at her. He makes a few sounds, which will be roughly translated to saying that Murkrows are attracted to shiny objects, but he doesn't see any in this room. If they believe the rumours, it means that this person is marked with misfortune and death... ]
[ Ditto does some rough translating while attempting to comfort Niko at the same time and well, the thing is, Sooyoung thinks that's rather obvious if it's true. Hospitals are where sick people go, who are unlucky enough to get sick or hurt in some way, and death sometimes comes to them. She figured crow pokemon would also like shiny objects, but like Kyu-chan pointed out, there aren't any in the room. Despite that, the Murkrows keep coming here.
Hm... ]
Don't believe in those Murkrow rumors. It's just a shitty scary story designed to scare people.
[ She can write better, she thinks. But that's not the point here. ]
It's like how they say crossing a black cat brings bad luck, but it doesn't. They're like regular wild crows. You can't really blame it for them wanting to go to places, right?
[ Sooyoung (surprisingly???) manages to make Niko feel better. Of course, Ditto's cute teddy bear form helps a lot as well but it's reassuring to be told that those rumours are fake. Her crying dies down until they're just loud sniffles and the occasional shakes. ]
M... Mmhm...
[ She wipes at her eyes. She still doesn't look upwards, just down at Ditto and Rockruff. ]
They... They do look like they want to c-come in, but... I never open my window for them... they'll probably visit me again really soon.
[ Sooyoung is also surprised, but she's not going to let this chance go to waste. There really aren't shiny things in here from where she can see, but what if they like Niko's hair? It's long and it seems bright enough to attract attention, especially curious crow pokemon. Maybe.
She still can't tell why the Murkrows are attracted to the hospital though, apart from the clipboard giving off a shine that the nurses might use, or medical tools... hospitals are also designed to be sterile and clean for the most part, even with pokemon, so it's not like it would find leftover food on the ground either. Maybe she's overthinking this and the answer is right under her nose, but she can't seem to figure it out. ]
Alright. I'm gonna leave my Ditto with you. It'll keep you safe.
[ She doesn't know much about Rockruff, but she thinks most basic pokemon are equipped with the three basic moves. ]
You can tell your dog to growl or stare at it until it goes away. It has a good sense of smell, so it should know where it is generally. I'll come back tomorrow to try and watch the crows.
[ Ditto is just an insurance. ]
Also, don't take any balloons, whether it's a normal one or a pokemon. If you don't have a choice, tell your dog to pop it.
[ She doesn't look forward to seeing the Murkrows again, but she feels better now that she's going to be kept safe. She's going to sleep while hugging the Ditto like a real teddy bear. ]
[ Ditto's gonna like the respite of a warm hug from the hard training, so it'll appreciate it from Niko. ]
I'm off then. Later.
[ She takes her leave and plans to return Mimikyu to where Nanami is too. She learned... something? Today? But it's not enough. She will definitely come back the next day in order to see the crows in action. ]

Transform into that cat and use Foresight.
[ Ditto turns into a Skitty and uses Foresight in the closet. Ghostie, where are you... ]
