[ After the hospitalization of Nanami, Kyu-chan (Mimikyu) and Mizu-chan (Mudkip) have been crying nonstop. During one of Sooyoung's visits, the two will turn around to look at her with teary eyes before they leap towards her. Wehhhhh, comfort them!! ]

[ It takes quite a bit of willpower to not swat them to the ground on reflex, so instead she catches them when they leap towards her. She's not very good at being sentimental, so her Ditto pops out and it comforts them instead by pulling them both into a wide jelly hug. ]

She's still not up, huh...

[joysticks]

[ Wide jelly hug ;o; Mizu-chan is a distraught parent because they see Nanami as their child and their child nearly died! Its authoritative :V is now a :'V. Kyu-chan at least doesn't stick with Ditto for too long and wanders underneath Sooyoung to nod sadly. She's not waking up :'(!!!!!! ]

[ Sooyoung looks around from where she stands. She thinks this hospital is pretty shabby, and she doesn't have a good opinion regarding the townspeople because it doesn't seem they tried solving their own problems. Maybe there's a correlation here.

She looks down at the pokemon. Maybe they'll be useful in a way. ]

You two heard of the kids coming here and getting sick. Maybe it's affecting her too. Let's get to the bottom of this, so she can wake up quickly.

[joysticks]

[ Kyu-chan immediately looks alert. If it's somehow related... then yes, they need to get to the bottom of this immediately! He scurries back over to the Ditto and Mizu-chan, having a brief talk before he goes back to Sooyoung. The Mudkip is going to stay here with Nanami in case anything happens while the Mimikyu will help out with the investigation. ]

[ A shadowy arm comes out underneath his rags and does a brief salute. Tag-team, let's go! ]

[ Kyu-chan is so cute... too bad Sooyoung doesn't think too much of it and gestures to them. ]

Alright, you've been in this place, so you know a thing or two more than I do. You, be the translator.

[ Ditto also salutes and looks over to Mimikyu. It'll shape itself to letters that Sooyoung can understand as Mimikyu tells it things.

Ditto has gone through a lot under Sooyoung's care... ]

[ Poor Ditto... being worked to the bone... Kyu-chan will ask what Sooyoung wants to know. What should they start with? ]

Did you notice anything strange when you stayed the night here? It doesn't have to be related to your trainer, but any weird vibes you got. I heard Drifloons were coming here and doing things.

[ Ditto looks so prepared. Let's do this. ]

[ He shakes his head. He and Mizu-chan stayed in Nanami's room the entire time so they didn't notice anything, but he knows that there are Drifloons that occasionally appear in the hospital. As a fellow ghost-type, if he finds one, he can talk to them and try to talk with them, if she wants? ]

Yeah, do that.

[ She thinks in order to investigate, they shouldn't draw too much attention to themselves. Making an avatar with the nurse's clothes is a last resort, so Sooyoung takes a medical mask and puts it over her face. That's standard protocol in a hospital, isn't it?

Sooyoung holds out her arms towards Mimikyu and Ditto. She's going to hold them in her arms while she travels. ]

Let's go.

[ The hallways are relatively empty, especially during the evenings, but it's strange how there's not a single soul in sight. It's silent and it'll be a few feet before they finally see something. ]

[ Dark smoke that lingers in the air before it vanishes through a wall. Something cold then briefly slides against Sooyoung's ankle before it disappears. ]

[ Sooyoung's grip on Ditto and Kyu-chan aren't as hard, so if they choose to, they can break free at any moment. She continues to venture on despite feeling something on her ankle. She figures the feeling would disappear and there would be no use stomping on it or whatever.

She chooses to cautiously follow where the dark smoke was seen, trying to find a door that leads to the room where the smoke had vanished into. She thinks it could be a pokemon, so her knife and gun would be useless here from what she's seen. ]

[ Despite that Kyu-chan said that he could speak with another ghost-type on their behalf, he's... kind of a scaredy-cat. He instantly starts shaking when he sees the mist and decides to stay put in Sooyoung's arms; it's a safe and warm place... ]

[ The smoke went through a wall in between two doors. Left or right. Which one do you choose? ]

10/11 or 10/12? time is fake

[ Did you miss him, Sooyoung?

Fai spots her at some point early in the afternoon, more obnoxiously cheerful than he usually is. ]

Just who I wanted to see! I have somewhere special I want to take you.

[ Was she hoping he would forget about the cafe? ]

time sure is fake--either is fine

[ Oh, it's mister smiley... She doesn't really hope for anything, but it better be the cafe he's talking about and not some other weird place. ]

You got a special place in this city already?

[ You got attached fast?? She's honestly a little surprised. ]

[partymagician]

[ He's good at networking... with cafes. ]

I do! A special place for a special lady.

[ Definitely not the right thing to say, but hey, he's having fun. ]

[ It really isn't, and it makes Sooyoung feel goosebumps on her arms, making her instantly wary. ]

Who the hell is this--are you catman's flirty twin?

[partymagician]

[ He pauses for just a second at the mention of having a twin, but he smiles to cover it up. ]

No, not at all! I just have many different sides to me.

[authoriser]

Right... and suddenly this facet wants to show itself to me...

[ Catman is weird. Anyway. ]

Fine. Lead me to your special place or whatever. If it's a crude joke, I'll kill you.

[partymagician]

[ He waves his hands. ]

I promise it isn't! Let's go.

[ Fai's gonna offer his arm. Sooyoung definitely won't take it but he'll offer anyway. ]

It's close by, near some of the barbeque places, if you've been to any.

Right. Yeah, I've been to some already. Not bad, for creatures they insist on being friends with.

[ Sooyoung absolutely does not take his arm and just opts to walking alongside him instead. ]

[partymagician]

They're good, right? I'm kind of jealous of this city. I've never been to restaurants like that.

[ He isn't bothered by her not taking his arm, and is happy to just walk alongside her. As they walk, the cafes start to have more specific themes—antique, garden, and even an Eevee themed cafe. ]

We're almost there!

[authoriser]

[ Themed cafes... if something exists, there might as well be a patent on it, she thinks. ]

Just how many cafes does a city need? Jeez...

[ She's muttering under her breath because this sure is a lot. ]

[partymagician]

It's fun though, isn't it?

[ He thinks it is... but he also just likes exploring.

Eventually, Fai stops in front of a cafe with a Skitty theme. There's a sign out front in the silhouette of a Skitty, and the wallpaper inside have cute little Skitty faces in a pattern, along with cute kitty ears on all the chairs. ]

[ Sooyoung squints. There are way too many cats. It also reminds her of the battle she had with Fai because of that Skitty. That Astonish demon. ]

Listen... I called you Catman. Are you trying to make me regret it?
